Ann Curry
Ann Curry, an American photographer and journalist who has reported on the natural and military disasters of over 45 years, focuses on the human suffering suffered by people in these areas. Curry has been a reporter in war-zones such as Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry (born on November 19th, 1956 in the city of Agana) is an American TV anchor, reporter and journalist. Her most renowned work was for her work as a reporter on The Today Show, a daily morning newscast produced by the National Broadcasting Co. Curry is known for reporting human-rights crises as well as natural disasters particularly in nations that have been devastated by war. Curry's mother was Japanese American and her U.S. navy-marine father were both prominent figures in her life. Her mother was living alongside the father of her parents in Japan in the aftermath of World War II. Because of her father's work in the military that they had to move around a lot. They eventually arrived in Ashland Oregon where Curry attended high school. After graduating from University of Oregon, Curry received a bachelor degree in journalism degree in the year 1978. Her exposure to different cultures and the experiences she had during her growing up probably influenced her approach to communicating about international matters. The first female news anchor at this station at the age of 22. Then, she stepped into the role of anchor reporter and anchor for KGW which is an NBC affiliate station in Portland.
